Catherine comes to us with a distinguished background in Social Services in both staff and leadership positions, notably as: Executive Director of Oakland YWCA, Associate Director for S.A.Y. of San Jose,  Program Director for In Shelter Homeless Treatment Programs in San Mateo County, and Coordinator  of Training for Bay Area Women Against Rape.  We are so fortunate to have her living right here in Sonoma.  She is amazing!

          SOS is committed to working  with the homeless and the hungry in Sonoma Valley.


            THE HAVEN- our shelter,  is a 12-bed modular home that has been in operation since 2007.  We serve low-income adult  men,  women, and families who lack stable housing.

            BROWN BAGGERS Volunteers prepare and distribute burritos or sandwich lunches at several Sonoma locations.  They operate the  Brown Bag Cafe' on Wednesdays

                                                                                   at the Grange Hall, and on Fridays at La Luz.

               COMMUNITY DROP-IN - Extends services to non-resident homeless clients, such as:  counseling, referrals to other agencies,  computer use, laundry services, showers, and hot meals.
