Sonoma Overnight Support/Sonoma Brown Baggers (SOS/SBB) is a group of faith based and civic-minded individuals joined together in a 503 C 3 corporation to support persons in need of shelter and support. SOS/SBB has been helping people in the Sonoma Valley since 1996.

SOS/SBB has two main activities:

1. SOS operates the emergency shelter owned by the City of Sonoma located at 151 First Street West adjacent to the Police Department. People in need of shelter MUST call (707) 933-9593 between 5 PM and 7PM to be processed by an intake person. No one is admitted at the shelter without talking to an intake person.

2. SBB provides a sack lunch to people in need on Mondays and Thursdays. Distribution of the sack lunches is near the Square in downtown Sonoma and at the fire house in Glen Ellen

SOS/SBB has a wide range of volunteer activities to support the shelter and the lunch programs. See our Volunteer Opportunities page and contact the Executive Director if you would like to help. Donations can be directed via a credit card and our secure donations page.

Please do not send donations of food or materials without prior approval of the Executive Director.

Tours of the shelter are available in the day by contacting the Executive Director or the President of the Board.
