They’re think we’re using what happened to milk it. We didn’t ask for any of that. I didn’t ask for my house to burn down. It was a little after midnight; I was asleep, the kids were asleep. I was seven months pregnant with Esme. We had 7 responding agencies to contain the fire so it would go other places. They did a really good job, they brought in the bulldozer and they had to bulldoze it. And it wasn’t just us, it was our landlord who lived right behind us. We barely made it out of there. Idaho is a fresh start. They put a lot of money in their school system, into the future for the kids. I mean my heart will always be in Sonoma. It’s a different kind of beautiful. I’ll miss the rolling hills and the oak trees. They don’t have that there for sure. Or taking the kids to the plaza, you know?” . #humansofthehaven A post shared by Sonoma Overnight Support (@sos_haven) on Mar 11, 2020 at 1:33pm PDT

He was spending money on other things and we had no idea until he got a 30 day eviction notice. . So we thought we’d move down to LA to stay and save money but things just didn’t work there. It was horrible I couldn’t get a job — I even applied to Taco Bell and didn’t get a call back — and I have an extensive financial and managerial background. . It’s been hard, but the haven provides so many services. Even if you’re out job hunting all day you don’t have money for food! I wouldn’t have been able to do this if you guys weren’t here. I’m super thankful. This is a stepping stone, a platform that’s here to assist you. . It goes to show you that things can be circumstantial. They took me to have an emergency surgery and I’d signed my apartment away! I didn’t know what I was doing I was so sick. After I got out of the hospital I was homeless. It’s just been one thing after another. I was on my last leg, but now I’m starting to get more energy. I slowly got my moxy back and now I’m doing well! I’ve been really lucky and really fortunate. I live in an apartment now which is great but my roommate is a total germaphobe. // Now this bear, he is a wonderful bear. I travel with him everywhere. I lost my apartment but he came with me! And he’s a love. He’s famous! It’s become my trademark. // #HumansoftheHaven A post shared by Sonoma Overnight Support (@sos_haven) on Feb 26, 2020 at 10:00am PST
