Dear Friend of SOS,

We’ve had a glorious way to kick off spring with the bounty grown locally by our farmer friends. To quote author Toni Sorenson, “Spring is far more than just a changing of seasons, it’s a rebirth of spirit.”

Our spirits have been lifted by food donations from Little Paradise Farm, Sunray Farm, and Haystack Farm.

New volunteers, Tina and Sia, with the beautiful produce from Little Paradise Farm, including four flats of butter lettuce.
Emmanuel and Luis, assisting Bill Cash, unloaded a truckload of items that came to us from Sonoma Raceway via The Food Runners. This donation included:
  • 3 trays of pulled pork
  • 2 quarts of barbecue sauce
  • 4 cases of grapes
  • 4 cases of cantaloupe and honeydew melons
  • 1 case of kale
  • 1 case of cole slaw
  • 2 cases of lettuce
  • ½ gallon Kalamata olives
  • 12 pints of feta cheese
  • 50 individual crudité cups
Sous Chef Dawn, admiring 4 cases of grapefruit from Haystack Farm.

In March we provided a total of 6,318 meals.

SOS is grateful for your support! We urgently need it during these challenging times, as we continue to feed the unhoused, food deprived and hungry in Sonoma and Sonoma Valley.

An estimated 20% of those we feed are children, and we provide about 60 families with access to the recovery foods in our commercial refrigerator on a daily basis.

Please consider making a monthly pledge to help us defray operational costs and ever increasing cost of food.

Gratefully,

Kathy King

Executive Director
