Dear Friend of SOS,

Summer is here, bringing a season full of the bounty of fruits and vegetables from our beautiful Valley. We received:

● 2 cases of strawberries, 2 cases of pineapple, and lots apples and oranges from Redwood Empire Food Bank

● Lovely organic lettuce from Glentucky Family Farms

● Recovery food from local grocery stores

This week also brought a huge surprise donation from Bombas, who sent us six boxes containing 1,500 pairs of socks. Every time someone buys an item of clothing, Bombas donates a like item to a community organization.

Nathalia’s last day with SOS’s Unity Kitchen was yesterday, June 6, and we’re having a hard time imagining the office without her. Over the past five years, she’s made an incredible impact on our team and the community we serve, and her departure will leave a big hole in both our staffing and our hearts.

While we’re sad to see her go, we’re also excited for her as she steps into a new role with Santa Rosa Junior College, Student Services—an opportunity where she’ll be able to build on her education and continue her commitment to serving others.

Nathalia’s dedication, warmth, and leadership have been at the heart of so much of what we do here. We’re incredibly grateful for everything she’s brought to our team, and we will miss her deeply—both professionally and personally. We wish her all the best in this next chapter and can’t wait to see all the amazing things she’ll accomplish.
